As promised, below is my low FODMAP chili recipe! It’s the perfect meal to enjoy with the savory low FODMAP cornbread I posted about yesterday. I hope you enjoy this recipe as much as my husband and I do! Chili and cornbread was always one of my favorite meals growing up, and my mom’s chili recipe is so delicious. We’ve been missing chili ever since I was diagnosed with IBS, and I decided it was time to try out my own low FODMAP version after all this time. Give it a try and let me know what you think!
- 1 lb lean ground turkey
- 1 10 oz can tomato puree
- 1 10 oz can fire roasted diced tomatoes and green chiles
- 1 red bell pepper, diced
- 2 Tbsp Trader Joe’s chili lime seasoning
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1/4 tsp granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/8 tsp ground cayenne
- 2-3 shakes crushed red pepper flakes
In a sauce pan, brown ground turkey on medium heat until thoroughly cooked. Add cooked ground turkey to crockpot. Add all other ingredients to crockpot. Stir ingredients together and cook on high in crockpot for 4 hours. Enjoy with my savory cornbread!
