Spicy Oatmeal Cookies

Nutmeg is my favorite fall spice, and I wanted to create a spicy, fall cookie without any pumpkin puree. Below is the result! These spicy oatmeal cookies are delicious with a cup of coffee or tea. What are your favorite treats of the season? I’d love to know what you’re baking up for fall!



  • 1/2 cup ghee
  • 1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 20 drops pure liquid stevia
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup gluten free flour blend
  • 1/2 cup gluten free oats
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt


Pre-heat oven to 375°. Whisk to combine ghee, vanilla extract, stevia, and egg in a medium bowl. In a separate bowl, stir to combine flour blend, oats, cinnamon, pumpkin pie spice, nutmeg baking soda, and salt. Slowing stir the dry mixture into the wet mixture until combined. Scoop and roll spoonfuls of dough and place on a parchment paper-covered baking sheet. Bake for 8-10 minutes. Enjoy!
